Description of Disease The communicable disease that has recently rocked the entire nation is respiratory syndrome coronavirus. My personal state affected was termed region C by the CDC. March 2020 was the month that my region was specifically affected. Every region determined by the CDC was affected, there was not one county listed that wasn’t affected.

Two Risk Factors associated with Coronavirus. Loss of taste and smell was the number one complaint associated with the coronavirus as the beginning of the symptoms showed in patients. The loss of the two senses that impact patients’ health were weight loss, mental anguish, and the loss of nutritional value of ingested food. The second risk factor was the lasting negative effects on the lungs impacted by the virus. Many patients diagnosed with the virus ended up on a ventilator or lifelong oxygen. Airborne and droplet are the routes of transmission. The epidemiological determinant for the coronavirus is the increased amount of elderly left with lifelong home oxygen requirements, which proves a need for home medical supplies. (Chowdhury, 2020) D. Impact of Coronavirus on a System Level March 2020 was the major outbreak in South Carolina, causing major panic among the citizens. Schools were immediately shut down; children were made to learn virtually. Sporting events were canceled, and gyms closed their doors with signs left stating closed until further notice. Churches were instructed to preach remotely or not at all. Hospitals mandated masks for everyone and forbid visitors, a lot of patients died alone.
