The system involves certain critical issues that should be considered in its selection and implementation. These include the social, economic, technical and political issues. The economic issues address the costs incurred in the implementation and the benefit of the cost reduction after implementation.

Technically, safety issues result from insufficient design, development and the use of the system. The social issue concerns the people who are beneficiaries of the system while the policy making is addressed the political issue. All these issues can either positively or negatively affect the implementation of the system. For example, the social and political issues are reported to cause negative influence in the systems implementation processes.

In addition, the use of the speech recognition can allow to support protection and privacy of the patient, as well as, it makes it faster for the health professional rather than typing and improved note quality and permit closing of the patient (Goes & Freidman, 2013). In addition, the use of the master patient index will make it easier for the health professional to access historical information about the patient. It is because master patient index is an electronic database that provides brief information about the patients, contact and medical information that are registered at the health care facility.
