Transgender concerns have always been a cultural battlefield, but are continuing to grow through movements of social networks that recognize the essentials of fighting transphobia as a human rights concern. Gender and sexuality are not just characteristics that individuals exhibit but can be seen as modes of influence and power that structure and stratify peoples’ social connections. More specifically, issues on gender inequality are good examples where society views members of one gender to be more privileged than the others. Similarly, research on sexuality is not bound to sexual minorities’ experiences but stretches out to the liberties that individuals have in sexual satisfaction, and how societal policies could protect or harm them (Frenk & McCormack, 2016).
