Explanation On How Data Collection Will Occur

As already indicated in the previous works, the sample setting will be private nursing homes which are within a given local primary care facility. The inclusion criteria were identified to be all healthcare workers that work within a given nursing home which is private. The workers will thus include nurses who are registered by their nursing boy, care assistants also called nursing auxiliaries, office staff as well as domestic workers (Al-Dorzi & Arabi, 2017).

In data collection, ten semi-structured interviews will be conducted. Once those participating in the nursing home gives consent, a time that is convenient will be identified and hence the interview will be administered. A descriptive study will be conducted to determine a twenty-four-hour hand hygiene compliance in the identified facilities. On the observation part, researchers will use a “five moments of hand hygiene” tool of observation.

Other than use of interviews and observations, questionnaires will also be given to the target group. As this is voluntary, only those who agree to the questionnaire will be given. The nursing staff to be used for this exercise must have fulfilled the inclusion criteria. The questionnaires will be particularly important as it will give information from a specific group hence enabling a comparative study for those who practice hand washing and those who don’t. This method will be appropriate since most respondents are educated. Interviews will be based on standard questions

Data Collection Points Data collection points will be dependent on the method of data collection being embraced.
