OK, I’m not the best, but I’m not the worst. Should I stay here where they say such awful things, or do I leave?
I’m not bossy, I just want things done right.
S. M. in that other department, never answers my emails, so how can I know that there were problems?
My office door is closed…sometimes, but how do I get my work done if I don’t?
Why hasn’t someone told me this before? Why hasn’t someone offered to be my mentor?
Working with a group of staff to solve problems? I have never heard of such a thing…
Taking risks has never been easy for me…but some of the feedback could be a little correct.
Emails need to improve? I was a nurse before emails ever existed!
And It’s up to each staff person to learn new information. Errors means someone didn’t do their job correctly.
[deep breath/sigh] OK, maybe I should look at the evaluation tomorrow morning; maybe I can improve; I DO really want to stay and learn more about leadership.

A leadership position is a compassionate post in any organization that defines its success or failure. Practical leadership skills are therefore important for any leader to function effectively without lots of struggle. A leader must have relevant skills related to the field to possess the ability to give directions and make decisions for the team. For any organization to be efficient in its operations, the members and stakeholders must access an accommodating environment to deliver their maximum outputs. A leader is therefore tasked with the duty of ensuring all the team members ate comfortable and can access all, the products they need for effective functioning (Striner, 2014). According to the leadership whirlwind in the case study, the C.J is interested in leading his team to a successful outcome but seems to lack the essential skills necessary for the process to be effective.

First, he is not ready to accept that the leadership skills he displays are not the best for the organization which makes it difficult to change. A leader must be able to admit mistakes and identify ways of dealing with the problem. He, therefore, should consult the firm’s stakeholders and team members to get information about how they feel the company should operate. He insists he is not bossy while at the same time forces other employees out of their way to complete specific tasks (FitzGerald & Latib, 2015). An effective leader must have the ability to give enough room to, the team members and let them make some of the decisions on their own. It develops a feeling of trust in an individual which increases their rates of delivery. Keeping the office door closed all the time makes it difficult for the team members to access their leader for consultation and reports. They lack guidance through the production process which affects their output. It increases the social gap between, the team and the leader which leads, to wrong decision making and confusion…
