Statistics plays a significant role in finding meaning from data. Its applicability varies in different fields, especially in research. In healthcare, statistics help understand trends in emerging healthcare conditions. Statistics also help analyze health-related data that inform healthcare providers on the evidence-based practice in providing solutions to emerging conditions. Additionally, most healthcare policies that rely on science and research use different statistical techniques to predict their utility and feasibility for specific sample populations. Another role of statistics is that it helps healthcare facilities to make decisions that are for the good of their clients.
