This report was written to examine Employee engagement and Retention in Healthcare and to recommend to stakeholders the best strategies to address this concern. Based on the reviewed literature, the research has shown that employee retention and engagement have a direct effect on the quality of care delivered to the patients. When the employee turnover is high, the quality of care delivered to patients is low. The report has also evaluated some of the factors that lead to high employee turnover in the healthcare setting and suggested some strategies of mitigation. It is recommended that human resource practices should be geared towards improving the working environment of employees, advocating for better employee deployment mechanisms reducing instances of bullying and undertaking timely response to concerns raised by employees. Adherence to such tendencies will help address healthcare workers’ turnover.
