The threat of the virus has seen some of the countries evacuate their people from mainland China and flights being canceled. Outside China, as of 11th February, Germany had so far reported 16 people diagnosed with the virus. In the US, 13 cases have been reported with 11 cases emerging as a result of people traveling to Wuhan China. The other two are said to have contracted the virus in a person to person transmission. Despite these cases, 24 other Americans in a cruise ship in Japan could have been infected (Center for Disease Control, 2020). The virus has so far been named a public health emergency in the U.S. Other cases have been reported in Japan (203 cases), Honk Kong (49 cases), Singapore (47 cases), Australia (15 cases) and many more.
