Choose one article from a primary scientific literature source that uses a microbe as a model organism/system and write a comprehensive summary of the study that answers the following questions:

Write a summary of the study that includes:
Why did the scientists perform the study (i.e., description of background)?
What was the hypothesis (or hypotheses) under investigation?
What were the major results and did they support or negate the hypothesis? Which key techniques were used to achieve these results?
Why are the results significant and do they point to further/future studies? In other words, why does this article matter and what should or could be done next?
Why did you choose this particular article to review? Was it interesting, informative, clearly written, or none of the above?

Compose your review in APA format and include:
A title page
Answers to the questions above in paragraph format (2 or more pages)
A reference page with the reference for your article and any other sources used in your review.

ANSWER
The main objective of this paper was to review an article that studied the frequency of genes such as icaA, aap, fbe and IS256 in Staphylococcus epidermidis clinical isolates.Using a sample of 59 isolates that were collected from blood, wound, urine and tracheal and a PCR method in extracting the virulence-associated genes, the researchers showed that fbe and aap are the most dominant genes in the pathogen. However, the results obtained seemed to be consistent with what other researchers had found in other studies.

Scientific research, especially in the field of bacteriology, continues to gain interest in the field of biology. This is especially due to the symbiotic significance that most of the pathogens have. This work reviews an article that relies on a microorganism as a typical system to critically explore the idea that was being communicated by the authors.
Why The Scientists Performed the Study
Staphylococcus epidermidis, which is one of the common bacteria removed from the skin and dominant in some parts of the body formed the central focus of this study. The bacteria that is always part of the human flora is studied for its role in causing nosocomial infections with medical equipment since it is an opportunistic pathogen. To come up with better therapeutic strategies associated with the infection, the authors contended that more information regarding its physiology when under infectious state or symbiotic settings is key. One key symbiotic benefit of the pathogen is that it prevents the inhabitation of other pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus. The accumulation of Staphylococcus epidermidis in thehost body however is dependent on the adhesin, the ica operon, the mobile genetic element as well as the biofilm formation (Peerayeh, Moghadas & Behmanesh,
