Write My Essay For Me1. You will use the assessment information from Week 4’s assignment for this part of the project.
2. The first paragraph should introduce what you will be discussing in this paper (at least 3 sentences)
3. The second and third paragraphs will include the first type (compensatory strategies) of selection methods you will be reviewing: Unweighted Approach and Weighted Approach. Be sure you identify the first table as the “Unweighted Approach”.
Once you have completed #2 and #3, you will apply your assessment to the applicants for the position. Complete the following using an “unweighted approach” – the totals you originally assigned to the factors. Use the table below – copy and paste it into your assignment.
UNWEIGHTED APPROACH | Maria | Lori | Steve | Jenna |
Education | ||||
Work Experience | ||||
Math Skills | ||||
Verification Knowledge
Interpersonal Skills | ||||
Work Motivation | ||||
Total |
4. Once you have completed the “Unweighted Approach”, you will perform the assessment using a “Weighted Approach”. The following information should be written in paragraph form and be before the “Weighted Approach” assessment.
a. Begin by identifying the factors that you consider to be the most important for the job and explain why. Next, identify two factors that you consider to be the least important for the job and explain why.
b. Based pm what you determine to be the most important factor, when completing the assessment for the candidates, double those point values you assigned to it. Based on what you determined to be the least important factors, divide the point value originally assigned by two (2).
c. For the remaining factors not identified as important or least important, use the points from the original assessment you created.
d. Copy and paste the following table into your assignment and fill in the blanks using your assessment figures:
WEIGHTED APPROCH | Maria | Lori | Steve | Jenna |
Education | ||||
Work Experience | ||||
Math Skills | ||||
Verification Knowledge
Interpersonal Skills | ||||
Work Motivation | ||||
Total |
5. For the paragraph summarizing these selection methods, you will summarize the results of your assessment. Be sure you have included the following information. The applicant who scored the highest and if you agree or disagree with that assessment result – be sure to fully explain your response. Next, identify the applicant who scored the lowest. Finally, compare your results using the “Unweighted Approach” and “Weighted Approach”. Which assessment method do you prefer – explain why.
6. The next type of selection methods you will be discussing are the “non-compensatory” strategies, “Multiple Cutoff Approach” and “Multiple Hurdle Approach”. Refer to the activity sheet for information about this type of selection strategy. Introduce this strategy with a brief overview of the method and how it is used. You will then identify the information required for it using the following table (you can copy and paste into your assignment). The first factor’s cut-off assessment has been defined for you.
Multiple Cutoff Approach
Factor | Cut off for each assessment |
Education | The applicant must have at least a high school diploma or GED |
Work experience | |
Math skills | |
Verification knowledge
Interpersonal skills | |
Work motivation |
Once you have created your assessment guidelines, you must apply them to each candidate. If the applicant does not meet your specified “cut-off” for a factor, the candidate is rejected.
Multiple Cutoff Approach
Factor | Maria | Lori | Steve | Jenna |
Education | ||||
Work Experience | ||||
Math Skills | ||||
Verification Knowledge
Interpersonal Skills | ||||
Work Motivation | ||||

You will conclude this assessment method by completing the table and then identifying which applicant(s) remain. If there are not any applicants who meet the required cut-offs, would you rather lower the cutoffs or restart the recruiting process again – explain your response. For the last part of this selection strategy, if many candidates exceed or meet the cut-offs, would you rather increase the levels, hire all the remaining candidates, or take a compensatory approach for those that exceeded the cut-offs – explain your answer.
7. The last selection strategy to discuss for this assignment is the “Multiple Hurdle Approach”. Refer to the activity sheet for more information about this strategy. The first cut-off (or Hurdle) is applied to the whole candidate pool. Any applicants who don’t meet that “hurdle” are automatically rejected. Continue through the “hurdles” until only a few (or any) candidates remain. Use the following table to indicate your “hurdles” (copy and paste into your assignment):
Multiple Hurdle Approach
Hurdle | Rejected applicant |
Hurdle 1: Education | Example: None, all applicants have at least a high school diploma or GED |
Hurdle 2: | |
Hurdle 3: | |
Hurdle 4: | |
Hurdle 5: | |
Hurdle 6: |
After completing the above strategy for the applicants, identify which (if any) applicants remained. Indicate what you would recommend if you had no remaining applicant or several applicants remaining (for example, use a different selection strategy, additional selection strategy, scrap these applicants and recruit again). Finally, indicate if you prefer the Multiple Hurdle Approach over the Multiple Cutoff Approach and explain your response.
8. For the final paragraph of this assignment, indicate which selection method you prefer and explain your reason.
